I have been missing for the longest timeeeeeee hahaha but I'm finally back to actually pen down my trip to Taiwan which happened in March '13 HAHAHAHA. I think no one actually visits this page ready lor... But I still am going to be doing this! Becauseeeeee it was a really amazing and memorable trip even though I got sick and because I want the memory to be forever somewhere so here goes HAHA!
Shall start with the booking of air tickets! All the way back in July 2012, we had plans of travelling together as a group and so we decided on the destination but haven't confirmed anything yet. We were super impatient and wanted things to be finalised so we confirmed the dates that everyone would be available to travel on and started on our search for tickets and Jasmine stumbled upon this promo from Flyscoot which allows for us to travel to and fro for just 200 BUCKS MAN! So we jumped at that chance and everyone gathered at my house with their passports and we did the booking. HAHA
But we obviously didn't get the offer..... :(
But I still felt like the price we paid was quite fair for Taiwan and its a 777 boeing plane we took hehe so ok lor! In case anyone is interested to know, we paid about $470+ for the air tix and for lodging about $700+ per room for 5 nights. So for tix and lodging i paid about $±920? I spent about SGD2k in total for this trip including my duty free purchases and a Porter bag pack hehe.
Ok so with 6 months on hand, we had a lot of time to plan and buy things to prepare for the trip. It was my first trip to Taiwan and also my first time travelling with people other than my family members so...
I WAS SUPER EXCITED!!!
Fast forward 6 months and the day arrived for when we had to pack our luggages, prepared for the flight and off we headed! To the airport hehehe. With my rilakuma passport and pink American Tourister Luggage in tow, I'm ready to conquer the world! Starting with Taiwan at least.
We did the necessary procedures and were in the waiting hall waiting for our flight after some window shopping at the duty free outlets hehehe. Was so super excited!
Looks like we're trying to extort money from del hor? HAHA
Happy faces!

We met so many familiar faces from this trip all the old secondary school friends. Some I don't even bump into on the streets of Singapore but I see them like thousands of miles away hahaha.
Took the window seat as usual because I'm very much a kid at heart. (Just took this mentality test and turns out my mind is only 13 YEARS OLD FML.)
We took the midnight flight so that we could have the whole day to venture Taipei!
Fast forward 4 and a half hours and we found our groggy selves in Taoyuan International Airport at 5am on 11th of March 2013! Theng Tat and Malin were sorta our guides for this trip and I must say, they were really really good at finding the places out and planning our itineraries. Was a joy to travel with them hehe.
Oh ya let me introduce to you my partners in crime: Ryan, Jasmine, Delwin, Sera(Me), Kenneth, Sandra, Tommi, Yan Hao, Theng Tat, Malin, Jin Yuan and Jia Jing.
Which makes a total of 12 people who were all sporty and fun to travel with hahaha. Wouldn't say that about myself though since I had a few episodes of tantrum throwing and sick spells hahaha so carrying on.....
When we came out from all the declaration and stuff and actually got the chance to feel the climate, wah its was super super shiok lor! I felt cold, but I act one not cold hahaha because I liked it a lot!
We hitched a cab to our hotel and dropped off our luggages so we could travel more freely since our rooms weren't ready yet.
We were accommodated at Inhouse Hotel along Ximending. It was a super pretty boutique hotel hehe. And the reception clerk was kind of cute haha. Or maybe it's just because they are taiwan people. HEHE
Smiley first day faces! HEHE

See they have Smeg fridges which were super chio in the lobby!
Overview of the gorgeous lobby/waiting area which we spent a lot of time in because we will wait for everyone to gather here as our meeting point before going on our adventures hehe or the boys would smoke and we would wait. LOL
There was a bar there too but we didn't get to enjoy it haha since we were always out.
