This picture is so apt for a start since I'm peanut and I'm saying hi!
HELLO!
I finally got down to jotting typing down this post!
Promised this a long time ago but haven't gotten down to doing it. Gonna do this fast and hope I won't be so naggy!
Prior to doing it, I had done a lot of research! Mostly because it's a part of my body I'm talking about so I must take some precautions.
Research I did before the act was done was to watch youtube videos and research on aftercare. Been wanting this for quite awhile now with the thought of it having popped up during my secondary school days.
The greatest motivator as to what led me go do it was the bf's baby sister. Hehe! She did it and came back with such a pretty looking piercing. That sparked the hidden dare devil within.
Ok so I headed to Far East Plaza(FEP) one day with the boy and his cousin after having picked up his father's clothes from peninsular for dinner. Then the boy dragged the heavy hearted me to the piercing shop. HAHA! I hinted him all the way and he finally brought me there and he had to enforce it on me. Yes my bf is very supportive. So we headed to Primitive Tattoo.
When we arrived they were about to close. But I was lucky or rather unlucky. LOL Went into the piercing area to wait and then got led to the jewelry area to choose my bling, sign the indemnity form and make payment. Chose this pretty hot pink stud. All the bling there are made with Titanium. *cues titanium*
Gonna insert minor info here, titanium is good for new piercings become some people might be allergic to traces of nickel (found in surgical steel) and it might result in some irritation to sensitive skin. And titanium is said to be lighter than Surgical steel although Surgical steel jewelry are cheaper.
Then got led to the private room. Sat down while the piercer did the marking with a marker and she asked me to go take a look. And then the pain started. She pinched my skin with a pair of tongs which was held tightly by rubber bands tied on really tightly. That hurt quite a lot I can safely say it hurt more than the piercing itself.
I let out a hiss haha! Sort of like that of a snake. Then the poking part comes. It hurt like crap too.........
When it went in I breathed out and like so the pressure got released. HAHA.
It hurt a great deal for me. But all I let out was a hiss. Damn strong.
Then the piercer commented that the pain was now over and proceeded to push the bling into the hole. HAHA but it wasn't over :( It hurt a great deal over the next couple of days but became better day after day. She handed me this ziplock bag with info on how to clean the wound and it included this small cup and some saline solution. Shown below:
The info
The cup
The Saline
Then when I left the shop, I suddenly felt faint haha and I cannot walk properly. Felt so so weak just like the other time I pierced my cartilage then my bf kept saying I damn weak and sissy pierce one belly only then like that. Zai ok! hahahaha! I felt like I was going to KO and all because I kept having white outs and shit like that. Then when we got to the car I saw that my piercing was bleeding. :O
Some one call the ambulance! HAHA! Ok so being panicky I went to google again and it turned out to be normal.
Went home and showered and the blood dried up turning into crusties and washed away in the water. The remainder were rubbed off by yours truly with some cotton bud. I bought some from daiso because they were in really cute packaging!
Packaging is really important!
So for about a week or so I mixed ⅟₁₀ of the saline to a lot of WARM water and soaked my belly button in it like this
It felt so warm and nice and it cleans your belly piercing well too and heals it really fast. HAHA
could move the jewelry and stuff soon after the pain.
Because I did it more than the 2 days they asked me to and ran out of the saline, I went to guardian and saw it in a bigger size so I bought it and some other necessities like the eye patch to protect my belly piercing if I were to wear tight clothes that might tug against it.(high waist pants and such)
You can mix water with organic sea salt also I searched that it works better.
this kind!
What I liked about primitive is that they have this appointment card and follow up sessions for you to go back to them to clean up and check on your condition. They schedule one 2 weeks after your piercing to help you clean the piercing after spraying salt water (shown below) and apply some cream to it.
Then they scheduled one more session which is a month after the appointment to check on your piercing again. I've been religiously washing it everyday in anti-bacterial soap:
Using this! Smells damn good and makes your skin so soft!
And dry it with my cotton buds but I haven't been soaking it in the salt bath in awhile and it has some pus sometimes :(
But it doesn't hurt anymore if I push it up and down. Only if I tug on it with my clothes and such then will it hurt but its just some shocking kind of hurt. I did it on the 14th of August haha!
It hurt a lot I won't lie but it was all worth it and I was glad I gathered up all my courage to put myself through this. Because it was all I wanted a long time ago.
I told my bf I regretted getting it after getting it in the car and he said:
"Regret ah? Go back and get refund and ask for your flesh back lor!"
Asshole! hahaha
But I don't regret it. It looks real pretty!
Haven't gotten down to buying new bling yet but I will soon enough!
Thank you for reading guys!!!
Gotta get to sleep already!
Sacrificed sleep to get this done since I had the feel to do so during my shower. HEHE
KISSES FOR ALL! GOOD NIGHT! XX
P.S. Sorry I'm so naggy
